What

NYC's premiere environmental education organization and bicycle cooperative is teaming up with the urban bicycle culture guide: bikeblognyc.com to create a unique park(ing) space. This space will have an information table explaining Time's Up's 20 year commitment to a more sustainable NYC through use of alternative transportation. They will also have their crack crew of volunteer bicycle mechanics offering their free services to New York commuters passing by. People can get a tuneup and learn how to get involved with this amazing organization offering year round free events. Also, Bikeblognyc will be hosting a live streamed talk show, inviting guests throughout the day to sit down for 15-30 minute sessions to discuss transportation and bicycle issues. There will be a desk where the creator of the blog, Michael Green, will interview guests ranging from local bike shop owners to artists, mayoral candidates like Reverend Billy and perhaps a celebrity or two. The show will be powered through Time's Up portable sound bike and streamed on line live throughout the day. Passersby can hang out in the parking space and hear the show or listen to it online.
